Guiding Questions: II Kings 21

  1. Why do you think the Kings of Israel always seem to return to other gods? Don’t they see that when they do things like this they will only get punished?
  2. Notice that what particularly provokes God is that Menasheh shed much innocent blood in Jerusalem. This is, of course, on top of the fact that he caused the Israelites to sin and do what is evil in the eyes of the Lord.
  3. Was Menasheh the first King of Israel to be assassinated? Which other kings were also killed by their own people?
