Guiding Questions: II Kings 15

This is part of the Tanakh Yomi Project.

  1. According to rabbinic understandings, for which sin might “tsara’at” be a punishment?
  2. Why is it that the author of our text records these lists of Kings, their years and behavior for us? What is the point of all this retelling? How does this narrative fit into the theme of the entire work of Kings II?
  3. Articulate the theology of this chapter. Is it in concert with the theology of the five Books of Moses How so?
