Guiding Questions: Isaiah 52

This is part of the Tanakh Yomi Project.

  1. How does Isaiah 52:1 continue the conclusion of Isaiah 51?
  2. According to Isaiah 52:6, what is “ba’yom hahu”?
  3. Who then, according to Isaiah 52:7 (when the redemption is forthcoming,) is to be the king of the Jews?
  4. And, who, according to Isaiah 52:9, will be the redeemer of Jerusalem?
  5. Once again, in Isaiah 52:13 there is a reference to “My Servant.” To whom does this refer, keeping in mind the preceding passages in Isaiah 52?
