Parashat Va’etchanan
This portion begins with Moshe pleading for God to let him cross over to Israel, but God reminds Moshe that Joshua will take over for him. Va’etchanan also presents a repetition of the Ten Commandments and includes the Shema and Ve’Ahavta, a prayer sung three times a day.
