Rosh Hashanah
Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year.
We mark the new year in the Hebrew calendar with Rosh Hashanah. On this day we celebrate the creation of the world and sweetness that a new year can bring.
Rosh Hashanah in 2024 begins on Wednesday evening, October 2nd, and continues through Friday night, October 4th. Rosh Hashanah goes directly into Shabbat this year for a “three-day chag.”
One should make an Eruv Tavshilin before the holiday.
