Guiding Questions: Psalms 70

This is part of the Tanakh Yomi Project.

  1. Does this text seem familiar — perhaps a reading of Psalms 40 (Psalms 40:14-18) would be helpful?
  2. What is it that the Psalmist is requesting from God?
  3. Would it appear from Psalms 70:6 that the Psalmist is wealthy, or impoverished?
  4. Does the closing refrain in Psalms 70:6 (“do not delay/tarry”) indicate that the danger and trouble are imminent or not pressing?
