Guiding Questions: Psalms 67

This is part of the Tanakh Yomi Project.

  1. In reading Psalms 67:2 in tandem with Psalms 67:7, it may be clear why the Psalmist asks that God be gracious (or have pity) — for what is requested?
  2. Again, as in Psalms 66, is there a universal dimension to God’s authority (Psalms 67:3-5)?
  3. And, in Psalms 67:5-6, why would the nations look upon God’s rule as beneficial?
  4. Specifically, however, what does Psalms 67:7 request and, accordingly, could this be a “harvest tefillah”?
