- Psalms 61:3 speaks of “the end of the earth”. Is this a poetic reference? Is it a geographic reference?
- And, in the same verse, what is the “rock that is high above me” and does this imply being saved by being removed from “accessible attack”?
- In Psalms 61:5 what is meant by dwelling “in Your tent forever” — and does this “forever” have any implication as to immortality or, rather, “as long as I may live”?
- If in Psalms 61:7 it is the king who is uttering this Psalm, why is the “third person” rather than the first person utilized?
- Does the Psalm end on an optimistic note?
