- The prophet is further instructed not to mourn for what is to become of Judea. Why (Jeremiah 16:5)?
- Will all joy, then, be removed (Jeremiah 16:9)?
- What will the response of the people be when the prophet shares this message with them (Jeremiah 16:10)?
- And how will the prophet respond (Jeremiah 16:11-12)?
- Does the future hold any promise (Jeremiah 16:14-15) and why will one no longer refer to “God who took us out of Egypt”?
- But, will this pleasant prediction come quickly or is there to be a purification first (Jeremiah 16:16-18)? And, then?
- Do Jeremiah 16:19-21 constitute a promise? A threat? Neither?
